Narrative
In Global Studies which fullfills the the GWAR section of my major, I have learned that it's a mixture of psychology, sociology, anthropology, etc. Basically I have learn the globalization of the world starts locally and we must analyze why everyone's story matter to the whole world. Furthermore we are all directly and indirectly affected by everyone around the world. My work is based on the life or Rigoberta Menchu and the Sanchez Family, which emphasizes the indigenous and Hispanic/Latino point of view. I also learned that this course teaches us how to analyze ourselves as the other, meaning that sociologist or anthropologist have made assumptions of why people think the way they do.
One of the thing I have probably gained for this course is knowing the local community is a global community. This course relates to all the course I have taken because it is based on diversity, narratives and even the world economy. As person who wants to get into marketing and starting my own business, I hope to use what I learned in the course for the future of Localization in the market local economy along with using my skills I gained from all my other courses.
